Story
Our Rough Start
In 2020, while living in a rural area of North Carolina with only DSL internet speeds of 5 Mbps, I faced significant challenges attending college online during the pandemic. The struggle to complete assignments and participate in classes sparked the idea to create my own Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP). With fiber access just five miles away, I set out to develop a solution to one of today’s most pressing issues—reliable internet access in underserved areas.
After drafting a business plan, I reached out to my local ISP, only to be told that bringing fiber to my area would cost around $500,000—far more than I had anticipated. Determined to find an alternative, I researched and discovered that internet service could be delivered over long distances using WISP technologies. By securing a lease on the nearest cell tower, I successfully established a network that provided high-quality internet service to my community, bridging the digital divide and improving connectivity in the area.

From there, MachFiber was born. My mission became not only to help others facing the same challenges but also to assist individuals and businesses in advancing their computers and technology to keep pace with the world’s innovation.
